Sweet Songs and Soft Guitar is a vocal duo based in Morpeth NSW. Kathy and Matthew Clarke perform songs of Love, Hope, and Caring for the environment and each other.

Kathy’s stunning vocal clarity is supported by Matthew’s gentle guitar style.

The set list includes pieces by Snez, Bernard Carney, Eric Bogle, Paul Spencer, Rick Kemp, Kate Rusby, Malvena Reynolds, Tom Paxton, Bruce Watson and a smattering of original works.

The name “Sweet songs and soft guitar” is inspired by the lyrics of Eric Bogle’s song “Kate and the Dreamtime Land” referring to the beautiful ambiance of session music and songs around the camp fire shared with friends.

Sweet Songs and Soft Guitar is an uplifting experience in the folk tradition.

The Bicycle Busker

Bicycle Busker delivers a street concert built on songs of social justice and caring for the environment.

With voice and acoustic guitar Matthew Clarke performs songs by Australian songwriters Bernard Carney, Bruce Watson, Mark Raue, Pat Drummond, Paul Spencer and Eric Bogle with a smattering of original works and other well-known standards on the subject of equity, peace, & harmony.

The Bicycle busker can be found in Maitland (Hunter Valley NSW) on most Saturdays from about 10.00 am and may suddenly appear anywhere reachable by bicycle or by train.

The Bicycle Busker is out there on the streets singing about what matters.
